Whenever I want to use a quote, but don’t want to take the time to research who originally said it, I call it an ‘Old Sicilian Proverb’. So, here are two for this month:
‘In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.’ (Old Sicilians were not into political correctness or gender-neutral references.)
‘Any fool can learn from his own mistakes; a smart guy learns from the mistakes of other people; but a wise guy learns from the successes of other people.’ (Same comment.)
